Shame and guilt

The aim of this program is to offer you the space and time to free yourself from shame and guilt in a supportive environment.

There are many reasons why people may feel ashamed: they may be ashamed of themselves, their family, their social status, etc. Shame involves anxiety, melancholy, sadness, disgust, and sometimes anger too.

Guilt is more closely linked to prohibition. While shame directly affects the self, guilt focuses on the individual’s behavior.

This program will help you work through your toxic shame and/or guilt. I will offer you an approach based on acceptance and commitment (ACT) combined with mindfulness. This way you can get in touch with difficult emotions and thoughts within yourself.

How can you avoid being swept away by the force of a toxic thought or emotion?

You will be able to ask yourself what kind of person you would like to be, what do you want from life, how to act when shame and/or guilt arise. It is important to answer these questions in order to live according to your true values in the present moment.

You will gradually soften the harsh judgments you make about yourself!

This workshop addresses a very sensitive subject and therefore will take place in an extremely supportive environment. Mutual respect, non-judgmental attitudes, and empathy will accompany us throughout this weekend.

I offer these circles in small groups (maximum 6 people) and, if necessary, I am open to creating separate groups for men, women, and teenagers.
