This mind-body approach uses movement as a tool and as a mediator to release certain psychological and therefore energetic blockages.
Through movement, somatic dance, and contact improvisation techniques, we can express ourselves without speaking.
It is the body that speaks. The focus is on oneself but simultaneously observing others too. The interactions that are created (never by chance) will lead, hold a mirror, help to understand, etc. We can become aware of things that were (perhaps) invisible, receive messages and information through our own understanding (self-observation), react differently, recondition ourselves and thus rewrite certain things.
The body is like a screen, it can show and express what we think and feel. Thoughts and emotions cannot be separated from the body. The release of endorphins helps reduce stress. This happiness molecule boosts self confidence, thereby encouraging your capacity for resilience and introspection.
The goal is neither performance nor aesthetics; the movements serve to model feelings and express them. It is a mode of expression that ultimately liberates you and connects you to your authentic, divine essence.
This workshop allows you to:
– Develop your imagination and creativity through improvisation
– Perceive space, your being, sounds and others around you
– Create social bonds and encourage interaction
– Express yourself freely through movement without being judged
– Relax your muscles and release tension
– Better perceive and understand your body’s messages (pain, blockages, etc.)
There will be opportunities for verbalization for those who need it.
We are the creators of our own state, whether physical, mental, or emotional. The body reflects everything, like a screen. Let’s look at it and see the whole picture.
